usable memory?

My new laptop says it has 6GB DDR3L memory. In System, it says 5.89GB of that is usable. However, on the HP website, it says that the maximum memory supported is 16GB. Why would it only say part of that 6GB that is in there now is usable?

Does your laptop have integrated video? 110MB out of 6GB is really nothing to worry about.

Your laptop is using it for other things like video memory. Like Geoff said, it's nothing to worry about.
