USB 2.0 PCI Card problem

ok I installed a USB 2.0 PCI card on my pc which had 1.1 before. It worked for a couple of weeks but all of a sudden went back to 1.1. So I installed drivers (which is stupid since it's XP) and then it started working again but then a few weeks later it goes back to 1.1. What's up with this?

could be loads of things... system restore? 1.1 drivers being more up to date than the 2.0 drivers, try deleting the 1.1 drivers completely and then installing 2.0.
could also be your motherboard doesnt think that it can support 2.0 as it has 1.1's?
try the deleting old drivers for the motherboard too
