USB 2.0 Speaker

Hi, I have seen a very nice USB 2.0 speaker from a store, but my computer only support USB 1.1...can i still use it? Thanks
 
thats cool, i didint know what the trasnfer rate was for usb1.1. do u know the transfer rate for usb2.0?

btw 12Mbs is still pretty good, thats 1.5MegaBytes/Second
 
woweee that IS fast! but i betcha firewire is faster
lets see... 480(MegaBits/Sec)/8(bits/byte) = 60MegaBytes/sec that is kewl
i wonder if my digi camara is usb 2.0... i usually just put the card in my integrated card reader

Yeh, i really hate people who go around saying they a have a 10megabyte internet connection, I mean, c'mon, if your gonna brag at least do the maths and brag correctly.

Anyway, more on topic, audio doesnt have to have a mojor bandwidth to operate, Im sure if you read the full specifications in the manual it will say USB 1.1 in there. USB2.0 is marketing gone mad so they samo it all over the front of the box to make it sound as if its soooo fast.
