i have a fractle case and it has a front panel usb 3.0 plug, which is the blue wide looking plug that is supposed to plug into a usb 3.0 header on some motherboards that have them. the motherboards i have been looking at do not have the usb 3.0 header on the motherboard. is there an adapter that will allow me to hook up the cases usb 3.0 cable to a usb 2.0 header on the motherboard? been looking and cant find what im looking for

Yes, it usually comes with the case itself. Sure it didn't come with your case?
You could always send Fractal a email :)

No there isn't an adapter. Lian Li made a USB 3.0 to 2.0 converter however you can't go the other way around unless you ghetto mod it to make your own.

What boards are you looking for? There are AM3 and Intel 1155 boards that have USB 3 headers

i understand that there are boards that have the 3.0 header. but i need it to be socket 1155, micro atx. so far the only one i have seen is the asrock h67 chipset. already bought it and sold it, so now im kind of looking for a different one, preferably in the z68 or p67 chipset. so far it looks like i may need to look at socket 2011, as they carry 2 micro atx boards that have the header. i am getting the thermaltake mozart tx case tonight, so i might just look into standard atx boards, since i know there are a few out there. but then i wont need the header since im using a different case. i could always use the 3.0 bracket in the mozart case.
