USB Bootable Windows for linux

Hi There,

Just a question, Can i boot windows from a portable VM from usb to use in windows and linux?

I would like a copy of windows 7 installed on my USB drive but i have linux at home, and running windows at work, i would like to boot a vm that will run in linux and windows

I dont think its possible to have it run on both. As they probably have different hardware profiles, and definitely a different operating system.
You could probably install a VM to both and keep the files stored on a flash drive (at least at home, you have a windows machine at work, so no issue running files there).
 
There must be something out there that does this? Looks like vmware ACE might do what i want, just need to find out if it will run on linux as well
 
ok this is not going to work, i need a copy of vmware player for linux portable and also the windows portable version anyone know where i can download?
