USB doesn't work

Hi, my friend has 6 USB ports on her computer, 2 in front and 4 at the back. But they are fail to work recently. When she plug in the web camera or MP3 player the computer said it found an "unidentified device", all 6 USB ports are the same. Could someone please advise me what the problems might be??

I will buy a USB 2.0 PCI Card if I cannot figure out the USB problem. However the motherboard is quite old, so that I just want to know if there would be any chance that the motherboard DOES NOT support USB 2.0 PCI Card? Thanks

install the latest driver and that will fix your problem. and make sure your system is up to date

Make sure you've got latests drivers for both the USB port as well as for the device you're connecting

Highly unlikely ... that's the point of a PCI controller ... so that you can add that functionality
