USB drives not recognized

Hi,
None of my USB ports work when I put a external hard drive or a flash memory, but they work fine with my mouse which is a USB based one. I'm pretty sure that it's not a software related problem, since I reinstalled windows and drives twice. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Do you get the notification sound when inserting/removing the usb external drive and flash memory? Have you ran CCleaner lately?

No, I'm just getting the "USB drives not recognized" error. I don't really think that it's actually needed, cause I've just installed windows 10.

Are you using the front case USB ports or the ones on the back of the motherboard? Could be a power issue. Does your external drive have a power adapter?

I've tried the both front and back ones, they don't work. No, it doesn't have a power adapter. I talked to someone else and he exactly said the same that it might be a power issue.

Try a different power supply, also make sure your 24pin main connector is attached securely to the motherboard.
