I plugged my flash drive in to my computer today and I keep getting the attached error message. What would cause the malfunction to happen? Is there anyway for me to get the info I had onthe flash drive? ANYTHING at this point would be appriciated. I have tried the drive on several other computers and I still get the same error...

I plug it back out and in and out and in till it works....

I have never had that happen with my flash drives but I did have the exact same thing happen to me with my WD My Book. I reformatted from Fat32 to NTFS and all was well for a few months. Since I did this, it removed the WD icon and replaced with a normal hardrive icon and also got ride of the autorun document on the drive. All was working well. Recently I started to unplug the drive to prevent from power surgers or anything and then I had the same error messages. I re-downloaded from WD the icon and auto run file/folder and now it recognizes and boots up fine. I'm not sure if that relates to anything in your case, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway..
