USB flash drive not in My Computer

I just bought usb flash drive and it's not working on my laptop.
It is working perefectly on my desktop though.
When I sticked it into the laptop it installed the flash drive no problem but it not shows in My computer.
It is in Device manager (working properly) and there is Safely remove hardware on the taskbar.
Computer plays the usual sounds when I plug and unplug it.
I reinstalled the flash drive as well.
Does anyone have any idea how could I solve that?
 
in the run box type diskmgmt.msc to open the disk manager and see if its shows up there and if it has a assigned letter.
then go to my computer or windows explorer and type the drive letter:\ and hit enter ...example: e:\
and see if it opens.
 
Restart your computer. I know that when that happens to me all I have to do is restart my computer and it works fine.
 
I tried and typed e: before (as that is the letter it should assign) without checking in disk management.
And diskmgmt confirmed that (meaning it showed it properly).
But under e: I had mapped network drive and that's why it didn't work.
After removing network drive it's all good.
