USB Flash drive

I just recently purchased 2 USB flash thumb drives. Pushed them into spare usb ports and worked fine. Unplugged them after placing some info on each of them next day I push them back into the usb ports and the system doesn't see them now. I have plenty of drive letters but if you click on any of them it wants you to place a disk in the drive.
Anyone know whats going on?

Hi,
Are you running Windows Vista? I've noticed that in Windows Vista 64 bit that my USB flash drive can be plugged in and the icon won't change, so I simply click the last drive letter and my files appear. The case may not be the same for you, so check it out by doing the steps above. If that also doesn't get you anywhere try re-plugging in the flash drive and going under Device Manager and seeing what is listed under properties etc. of USB devices.

Have you tried formatting them, and/or reinstalling the drivers?

Hello they didn't come with any drivers. All it said was plug into usb port and they instantly made a drive letter and they worked great. Once I unplugged them to put them into my other computer they worked fine in it but once I put them back into this one it doesn't see them anymore.

TKnick90 thanks, they wouldn't format because the system didn't see them. I went into device manager and deleted them while they were connected. Then I unplugged them and reinserted them and they made their own drive letter and now their working. Thanks a lot I appreciate your help.
