Usb gsm modem

I recently went into a webpage about a fascination...> a GSM MODEM
It would entirely cut off my internet charges. I even saw something called Unlocking to all SIM's. How does that happen(technically)?
I would like to know more about it. Is it good to buy a USB GSM Modem?
How do i connect it my computer? How to start working with it, when i buy?


What all should i do after i connect it to my USB port?

well it wouldnt entirely cutoff your internet charges you still would have to subscribe to a cell phone carrier example t-moble sim with blackberry data then your limited how much you can download a month and the speeds suck at best just my opinion.. your easily tracked example you do p2p the isp knows exactly who u are...
