USB help!

Someone stepped on my usb stick while it was still in the usb slot , and now the computer won't read it. I was wondering , is there anyway of retrieving the files from the usb stick??

How are your soldering skills? Chances are they bent the body from the connector and some of the solder points disconnected. All though I can't say for sure with out seeing it. You could take the cover off so it's just the board and the connector. From there you should be able to get a better look.


Alternatively you can leave it to the professionals, I'm sure there are companies out that specialize in this. It all depends how important the data is and how good you are at fixing things...
