Your USB 1.1 information is correct. But, Universal Serial Bus 2.0 has a 480 megabit per second (60 megabyte per second) maximum data transfer rate. I personally never see USB 2.0 transfer rates ever much higher than 10 megabytes per second. I think others will verify the information I have given you is correct.
 
IEEE 1394 (FIREWIRE)
A very fast external serial bus standard that supports data transfer rates of up to 400 Megabits per second (50 megabytes/second) in 1394a. In 1394b data transfer rates are as high as 786 Megabits per second (98.25 megabytes/second). Products supporting the 1394 standard go under different names, depending on the company. Apple, which originally developed the technology, uses the trademarked name FireWire. Other companies use other names, such as i.link and Lynx, to describe their 1394 products.

A single 1394 port can be used to connect up 63 external devices. The maximum cable length 1394b supports is 4.5 meters.
 
Firewire 1394a use four or six-pin connectors. Firewire 1394b uses nine-pin connectors at both ends of the cable. Power is supplied thru the Firewire interface, but I presently do not know how many volts are supplied by a single Firewire cord. I will have to do some research.

Edit: It can supply up to 45 watts of power per port at up to 30 volts.
