USB not working

hey guys, the usb port isn't working, has been working about a week ago but isn't anymore, any ideas on how to get it showing up in device manager again? using windows xp professional.
 
do you have any usb in divice manager? is this fornt side or back usb? have you added any hardware resently? what SP are you using? what happens when you plug in usb devices?
 
i dont speek all that language so keep it english please, when i plug an mp3 player into the drive, nothing happens, same with anything else, the USB doesn't show up at all in device manager. how do u get it to show up in device manager?
 
Go to start > Control Panel > Add new hardware.

Put the device in the usb slot first and then hit search or something close to it.

Hey! People's English aren't that great, so leave them alone. If you under stand the question that's fine. If not ask nicely.

i no enough to no that none of the usb's are showing up in device manager then its not gonna detect that somethings plugged into the ubs port. correct? do i need the driver software ? **** computers
 
are you using windows XP? when windows is installed it should automaticaly dedtect usb and install the basic software for it. sounds like hardware problem
