USB plug problem

I am assembling a computer to use for my older software that will not run on W-8.1 or 10 so I will be running XP Pro. The board I am using is a MATX Endura EM945G.
The case I bought for the build has 2 front USB ports but the female USB end that should plug into the board does not match the sockets.
It is a female for 9 pins ( 5 pin receptacles on one row and 4 on the row below when you are facing the plug the blank one is on the lower left). It is about .5" X .1875". The board socket is a male for a female plug with only one row of 5 pin receptacles and it is about .5" X .125".

I hope someone can advise me how to fix this problem.

Can you post a image of where the motherboard usb header you are trying to plug into is?

I don't have a smart phone but I will try to scan the PDF page image and post that.
The Mb layout shows they are #'s 36,37,38 & 39 placed along the bottom edge of the board center.

Thank you,
Hagar

It didn't work, when I copied the PDF and pasted it for the scan it only picked up the printing.
I will see if I can figure out a work around. I can draft a picture myself and post it ( if that will work for you).

Thanks you,
Hagar

I even tried looking for the manual earlier to get an idea of the usb headers and couldn't find one as its an odd manufacturer board. But from what I've read it said it has enough usb headers for 8 additional usb ports which means you should have 4 headers with 9 pins in them.

Yes, I just saw on the manual it was apparently made in Ireland. I have looked at the Mb closely and there are no 9 pin headers. Of course the rear usb ports are mounted directly on the circuit board with no plug in.
I am far from being well versed in computer assembly but I have built a couple in the past that did work plus I have a lot of quality books to refer to.
I could get you a copy of the PDF manual if I could post it or send it to you in some way. I don't know if you would want me to post it as it has 40 pages.
Thank you for your effort with this problem.

Well, if each usb header only has 4 or 5 pins on it then you won't be able to use the case's wires for usb. I've seen case usb's only have the4 or 5 pins but not the actual usb headers.

Someone suggested the board might have sockets for single plugs and the plug from the usb ports is a dual plug.
The case does have 2 ports and I was told it was standard procedure to combine two usb ports into a single plug.
If this is so than maybe one of the 5 pins on the single male might be a ground and the 9th pin on the female end could be a ground shared by both sides then the 10 pin would not be needed.
Might there be some kind of an adapter for single male to dual female ? I have tried to find something but had no luck.

Thank you,
Hagar

I was lucky enough to find an expansion card on Ebay for usb-3 that had a 9 pin header so I opted for it as I can plug the case ports into the card.
I think this will solve my problem and thanks to all for your help.
