USB ports not fully functioning.

Didn't really know where to post this, thought it might be a software issue.

OK, so my USB ports on the case/mobo doesn't seem to read everything that I hook up to it. E.g, my G510/G700/F310 and ipod work flawlessly, but other electronics, camera's, cell phones, and other MP3 players doesn't seem to be getting read. The USB ports chargers them all, but won't let me open the containing folder to take photo's/songs off them. "My Computer" won't display the folder/s. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

A few things to do.

1. go into device manager and uninstall the usb entries. Of course if mouse is usb you will lose ability to use it. Then reboot and let windows reinstall drivers.

2. Check power supply for correct voltage output, specifically the 5 volt rail.

Under "Universal Serial Bus controllers" it has as followed;

Generic USB Hub
Generic USB Hub
Intel 6 series/C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller-1C26
Intel 6 series/C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller-1C2D
USB Composite Device
USB Composite Device
USB Composite Device
VIA USB 2.0 Hub
Via USB 3.0 Root Hub
VIA USB eXtensible Host Coontroller

Which of these, if not all, do I uninstall?
