usb ram?

is there such thing as a ram device that i can plug into my usb or firewire port? if not, is there a way that i can assign a flashdrive to ram? im using a macbook.
 
yea, i figured. but i thought it would be worth asking, i dont need it right away anyways. i just dont want to touch the inside of this thing till its old.
 
Vista allows you to use a flash drive as a type of virtual memory, but it's nowhere as fast as actual physical RAM.
