USB Sony Memory Stick botch up. Help!

My friend has one of those Sony Memory sticks for her computer. She somehow erased it and didn't have any backup. This memory stick contained years of journaling entries that are very important for her to have for personal reasons. She purchased software from 'Active at Undelete' and they were able to retrieve a small portion, but much of it is encrypted. So she sent it to another place (eprovide) that said they could repair them. And they couldn't! She is desperate to try and get those files back and feels like an idiot that she didn't have them backed up. Does anyone here have any ideas on how to decrypt the files? Or know someone that does? It would be much appreciated. She is very depressed over this. Thankyou! :)

Ouch! Memory sticks are a little bit different then lost or deleted data on an hd to recover. The best advice probably anyone could offer here would be the type of service that specializes in encryption, decryption, and recovery.
Tell her to get a good cd-r/rw or dvd-r/rw drive for backing things up. http://www.eprovided.com/ http://www.datarescue.com/laboratory/smartflash.htm http://www.flashcardfix.com/ http://www.disklabs.com/memory-card-recovery.asp
There are several softwares on searches as well as services. Which one will work the best is another matter.
