usb to ethernet problem.

ok the old computer that my parents use doesnt have an ethernet port.

but i do have an etherlink, usb to ethernet connecter thing,

problem is i dont have the drivers for it.

on my computer it automatically downloads the drivers.

how can i use it on the other computer? i tried copying the driver file (.sys) or whatever onto the other computer and gettting it to look for it. but that doesnt work. what else can i do?

would i be better to just buy a pci slot lan card thing?

or is there some way to get the computer temporarily connected to the net to download the drivers?
