USB turned cd rom

I got this Kingston usb flash drive (1gb) when plugged into the pc i get :

Please insert a disk into drive (letter)

also in its property box reads like below :

strange, that drive had documents on it.. any idea how to restore this thing ?

i found an answer on google which had me delete one of my reg keys, turns out deleting that key stopped my pc from booting - but thats fixed

in disk management is says:

Disk1
removable (H)
No media

turns out like a cd rom drive

Try deleting the driver from "Device Manager" (after unplugging the device) and plugging it again. It should reinstall the driver.

Jking, but seriously, have you tried a different computer? Chaning USB port, plugging it into a port that you know for sure works?

honestly from the start of that thread. No. cause i had already done my research. just scrap the drive. problem solve
