usb upgrade possible?

hey guys, still kinda new to this whole laptop thing, i have had mine for about a month, its an older dell and i was wondering if its possible to upgrade the usbs that i have to usb 2.0? how much, is it worth it, and where would i have to go to do it, any help is appreciated.
 
ok will do, is it hard to set up? i have installed a lot of things on desktops but never even thought of opening a laptop, would it be better to try it at a store?
 
Don't listen to any of the posts above. First, it is not expensive to upgrade to USB 2.0 (if you're sure that you don't have USB 2.0 to begin with). Buying a USB 2.0 hub won't do anything, as it will still only run at USB 1.0/1.1 because you are still connecting it to the laptop.

All you need to do is buy a USB 2.0 add-on card, such as this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16839200001
 
nice, thanks omega, ive never seen one of those before, i really appreciate it, and i know that mine has 1.0's because i was transferring some pics from my memory card and it took about 2 years to transfer 50 pics
