USB vs PCI tv tuner card

Which is better (or does it matter). Does one have faster transfer rates (I'm assuming pci is faster).

Basically...will one interface offer better quality than the other.

Thanks

They are pretty much the same, except that the usb one might be easier to connect things to since you don't have to go all the way down to the back of your computer

USB tends to have more problems in the end, it seems. Most every USB capture card I've worked with has ended up giving me problems at some point. Not connecting, bad videos, etc etc... I'd strongly suggest an internal card over USB. Maybe even find one with an external breakout box...

Well I just set it up just to see if it works. And it seems to work decently well at the basics to start. It looks like its transmitting at the right resolution, and since I have a tuner hooked up already and I am just sending the feed to the laptop, I noticed there is a 5 second lag. Although, it shouldn't be an issue if it doesn't past through a cable box and you have to control the cable box with another remote.

The sale for the adapter for 59.99 expired already, but as of now it looks to be a good product. I will be testing it out tommorow a little more indepth, but it looks good to start.

i use ADS instant TV which is USB and it has worked for over 6 months now - maybe i got lucky.
