USB2.0 Card and Network Adapter

I'm building a computer for the first time, and I'm wondering about this network adapter and this USB2.0 Card. I'm using This Motherboard. Would I need the two components previously listed? The motherboard says it has USB3.0, but I'm no expert, so see the site for yourself. Thank you in advance.

Pretty much all motherboards these days have built in network cards, so there is no reason to get a PCI one unless you have a need for two NICs. Also, USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with 2.0, so unless you need the extra USB ports that is overkill as well.
 
If you are buying the MSI 890GXM-G65 motherboard there is no reason to buy those expansion cards unless you need a Firewire 1394 ports. The motherboard already comes with an RJ-45 port and plenty of Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports.
 
Ah, thanks. One last question concerning this motherboard business. I'm looking for a fast, but not top-end computer. I checked the FSB speed on the motherboard, how does 2600MHz Hyper Transport (5200 MT/s) sound? Should that be enough speed?
 
That motherboard is a decent choice. If you are not looking to spend a lot of money on computer I would also pick the following processor and RAM to go with it:

Phenom II 925 Deneb Quad-Core (2.8 gigahertz) Processor - $130

You are also going to need a case, hard drive, power supply, operating system installation disk, and a video card if you want better video output.

I have all the components set as bookmarks, and I haven't ordered all the parts yet. I'm pretty sure the parts are all compatible, but I'm happy to post the parts at your request. I'm looking for a fast gaming computer. The graphics card that I'm getting is an immense outlier to the rest of the build, five times as expensive as my motherboard. Would it be foolish to purchase?Graphics Card
I think my friend told me it was released not too long ago, so I guess you can say it's almost fresh off the market. This beast also looks like it needs to be hooked to the power supply too. I looked at the motherboard, and it has the correct PCI-e 2x16. So, mostly what I'm asking here, is this card overkill, and would it work with my motherboard?
Also, as some final questions, isn't there some sort of speed that measures out in GhZ for a graphics card? I think it was the speed of the GPU, but I can't seem to find it on the site. Would I also want a sound card to fill in the extra PCI-e slot? Sorry about all the questions, this is the first time I'm going to build a computer, and I'm trying not to screw up.
 
The motherboard you have chosen may not work with two video cards if you want to use two video cards in the future since it is a micro ATX size mainboard. The motherboard should be fine with one video card if that is all you intend to use it for. I think using two video cards is over rated in my opinion.

The video card is you are looking at is very expensive. I would look at another in the $300 range. You will not compromise much processing power going with a nice $300 video card.
