USB 3....any good..easy to install? Will my camera/camcorder regonise it..i mean its faster...but all i would use USB for ..aside from charging up things...is..connecting to my HD camcorder to upload footage and inserting SD cards from my camera.

Any drawbacks using it...or dont i really need it?

To get that performance the device would have to support USB 3.0 which there isn't many devices out right now that support it.

No real need for it over standard USB unless it's a USB 3.0 device. For hard drive storage I still find eSATA is faster.

This the next standard... This is good, especially if your devices supports it.
On my next purchase of external drive, I will surely buy usb 3.0 drive. :)

No reason to upgrade unless you need to already or your motherboard supports it. I replaced my external hard drive and USB drive with 3.0 drives since I needed more space and my new build supported it. Very nice for moving huge video files.

USB 3.0 is faster when transferring data, however it is only really used with external hard drives or usb flash drives.

There are not many, if any other devices such as, phones, cameras etc, that use USB 3.0

So i suppose firstly, do you regularly transfer a lot of data to external drives ?

If yes then it would probably be worth using USB 3.0, you can pick up a 16gb USB 3.0 flash drive for £10

Would also depend, if your current hardware has USB 3.0 or if you would need to spend a lot of money upgrading, in which case it might be worth waiting until you want to upgrade your hardware in general.
