New here everyone so sorry if this has been delt with already.
I did a search and so many pages came up.

I got a new hard drive because my 40g(lol) became to small and was infected pretty bad.
So I got a new one and loaded my windows xp up and some other stuff but my usb ports are not working.
Where do I find the drivers for the usbs?
Motherboard - Microstar MS-7601
internal Harddrive - western digital 160
external harddrive - western digital 320
AMD Processor?

Im not real good with computers but can figure most stuff out but I am stuck right now
Any help would be great
Thanks
Bernie

Look in device manager for what devices are not installed properly. Post back with any that have yellow exclamation points next to them or unknown devices. What version of XP are you running? If its SP2 then it has full support for USB.

The only thing showing a yellow exclamation is the video controller.
There are no sign of any usb ports in the device manager
I orignally installed windows xp corp edition w/ sp1 and wasnt getting any usb functions so I went to microsofts website and downloaded the sp2 and still no usb functions
What else can I try
Thanks
Bernie

Then I would go into the bios and make sure the USB's are active and not disabled. Also, open your case and make sure you didn't disconnect the usb cable from motherboard to case, make sure its tight. Sometimes they come loose very easily.
