Used laptop. Good for the price?

There is a computer store that is selling a Pentium III Thinkpad 570e laptop. It runs at 500MHz with 320MB of ram, 12GB hard drive and a 56k modem. They’re selling it for $149. I was just wondering if that was a good deal?

i'd consider it decent, the laptop in my sig was $200, but it had internal wifi

I don't think it is a really good deal but I can tell you one thing, Thinkpads are amazing notebooks.

If you buy the Thinkpad, I would right away change the hard drive and also the ram because the hd is really small and the ram isn't that much.

If you really need a laptop, then it's good. But if you dont really want it but that offer just seems so good... then probably not. Unless you want to experiment on it.. That system isn't really that great even tho it may be a Thinkpad. You're probably going to be limited on it if you plan to use it daily.

I thought so too. Like I said, I was just wondering if that was a good deal or not (I kept seeing that in a newspaper ad).

Would like a laptop but I don't really need one...
