quick question, how can i tell if my computer is running in safe mode? When i boot up, XP atomaticaly goes into an account called Administrator, but i dont want that account there, I want it to boot into my other administrative account called Mike. So I went into User Accounts to try and delete Administrator, but I couldn't and at the bottom it said that the account was only visible if there are no other user accounts or the computer is in safe mode. So, my guess is that i am in safe mode. Do i just restart and go into that menu during boot up to get it out of safe mode? Also, whats the point of safe mode?

ok, so since i cant delete it, can i have xp log into my Mike account instead of booting into the Administrator account?

I think I can be of help. Once the computer logs on, click the start button | click run | type in "control userpasswords2" | Highlight the user you wan to log on rather than the Administrator| uncheck users must enter a username and password to use this computer | click apply | then type in the password for your username mike and simply reboot and from now on it should log on to mike instead Administrator. I know this works for XP Pro, hopefully it will work for XP Home
