uses or javascript - help for computing coursework

Could somebody please help me with my computing controlled assessment. I need to know the uses of JavaScript in a real life situation. Any extra information about it would also be useful and helpful.

In a real life situation, Java Script can be a pain in the ass. :p

But I digress. JS is used to add functionality to webpages by delivering a broad-based amount of content. Anywhere from online music streaming to video streaming. JS provides the code necessary to deliver the web's next generation of content delivery in HTML5.

That's all I got. You owe me a Snickers. LOL!
