Using an LCD HDTV

I use to have a 19" LCD Monitor, untill I got a 23" LCD HDTV. The widescreen is nice and all, but I find it sucks for gaming:(

what are the pro's/cons?
 
well from my understanding comp monitors have better refresh rates and better resolution and that has a big part in how games look
