Hi ya'll i'm new but have been into computers for a long time. nm noone cares.

anyways, i was just wondering if there was a way to connect one of my old desktop machines to my laptop (either through a normal patch cable or a crossover) so i could use the laptops wifi card.

i don't ahve a cable long enough to reach the desktop and wifi cards are too spendy for me.

anyone know anything? thanks.

Yeah, it can be done. Most likely you'll have to use a crossover cable and bridge the wireless and lan connections on the laptop or setup ICS.

thanks guys. i think i'll try the bridge ics thingy. my new credit card still hasn't come so i can't get those usb wifi adapters, but i will later.
