As set by default, it will find both the highest GPU and mem clock without any artifacts, although I have no idea whether it will prevent the card from overheating in the process as I had always reached my max before then..... It well then scan at the highest clock speed until you abort or unless you change the settings.... As posted in a recent thread, another program you can use to OC a card is ATi Tray Tools which offers more options and settings than CCC and can be used with or without CCC.......
Edit: After just testing, ATiTool scans for artifacts better while ATi Tray Tools, seemingly, OC better with its Driver Level OC method.........
