using ATI Tool

What are the steps you take in using ati tool?

find max core and find max mem until it doesn't respond? it never artifacts before it crashes...

Then try it manually.

Raise the core and memory seperatly, keeping track of the speed, so when it crashes, lower it by 5-10Mhz and then you have about the max speed it can handle stable.

As set by default, it will find both the highest GPU and mem clock without any artifacts, although I have no idea whether it will prevent the card from overheating in the process as I had always reached my max before then..... It well then scan at the highest clock speed until you abort or unless you change the settings.... As posted in a recent thread, another program you can use to OC a card is ATi Tray Tools which offers more options and settings than CCC and can be used with or without CCC.......

Edit: After just testing, ATiTool scans for artifacts better while ATi Tray Tools, seemingly, OC better with its Driver Level OC method.........
