Whenever I upload files to my Gmail account to my gmail drive they always seem to end with .bin. The files are usually named: part01.bin. Can someone tell me how to open this as the original attachment. eg. zip, rar, jpeg etc.

What method are you using to upload the files to your gmail account, i use the GMAIL DRIVE SHELL EXTENSION and everything works fine for me.... oh and .bin is anything, bin stands for binary, so its any data file at all

.bin files are mainly used for making images of CD's/DVD's... Strange that it's making it a bin file...

no their not, .bin is a binary file, i.e. contains data, nothing to do SPECIFICALLY with any prgram or use, yes tehy are used for burning CD's from sometimes thats jsut cos its easier to shove evenything into a bina nd do it, .bin files are anything that contains data, most installation packages for high end software will contain the install data in bin files and cab files.
