I hooked up my computer to my hdtv sharp aquos via DVI port, but as I understand DVI can't extract any audio? any suggestions on how to get audio. thanks.

^^haha..those are my computer speakers actually!! I had to drag them all the way to my tv which is a bit of a hassle because it's a lot of work. Just want to know if its possible to use the speakers that are built-in on the tv itself.

HDMI carries audio. DVI is just video. If you want to use the internal speakers you'll need another cable for audio.
