Using laptops wireless internet for desktop

I'm trying to share my laptops wireless connection with one of my other desktops and I can't get it to work. I have a cross over cable and I've also used hubs and switchs and still not luck, when I make the network bridge my wired connection works but my wireless will not. It will say it connects to my wireless internet then it says not connected and says that I can't connect to the prefered network. I read online that when I bridge it it's trying to get my wired internet and send it through wireless which is the complete opposite of what I want to do. So how can I change this. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Hello friend
I have want to connect both my desktop and laptop computers to a wireless network. I have successfully connected my desktop to the wireless router, but i can't with the laptop. I've managed to set up an AD-Hoc connection between the desktop and laptop, but I can't disconnect the yellow cable (think this may be ether cable??) from the laptop - As soon as I disconnect the cable I lose the internet connection
