Using multiple switches???

Hey,

I'm wanting to run a LAN party (where everyone brings there PC and plays games.) I've already done one before on a small scale so I have one of these 8 port gigabyte swtiches.
I'm wondering if it'd be possible to buy another one/two more of these switches and plug the extra one(s) into the one I already have.
Firstly, can I do this and if so is there any configurations that need to be set up? and secondly, will it create a large amount of latency between certain people on certain ports?

no, it should be ok, aslong as you have the fastest be the main one (only if you get different speed ones) but it should be ok. you may want to (o forget but if you have to ability to have 2 lan connections going to it... forget the name) that will make it faster
 
I presume I won't have to go into complex network settings or ip settings on each pc then? Sounds to easy to be true lol thanks again,
