Using Norton on two computers

If you buy Norton Security software, and own two or even three computers, do you have to purchase the software for each computer or if the same person uses it, can one buy work on both? Example, using the software on my desktop and my laptop.

I figured so

I can see their reasoning to keep people from buying one copy and passing it around, but thats bad for someone who will be using one computer or the other.
