Using TV as monitor

Hi! Just wanna know how to use the tv as the monitor... 'Cause I saw it from my friend, and it was a way convenient. Could you tell me what should I have in order to do it? (I know there is a possibility in the video card w/ TV-OUT) But what if my video card don't have?

If you have an actual video card, then most likely you have an S-Video plug in it. If you have an S-Video plug on your TV, then you can hook it up with a cable, if not then you need to buy a converter to convert S-Video to RCA.
