using vista 64 bit ultimat need help

hi i am using vista 64, so i would like to back up my hard drive in order to install windows 7 64 bit as a new installation, lets say that i did that but i am not happy with the program that is window 7 and i want to go back to my vista 64. can some one tell me how to make a copy of my hard drive in order to be able to restore my vista back? ty you all:) what programs to use for the copy of my hard drive
 
Imaging: Backs up your entire system, including Windows and data, plus your partition as well. The image can be stored on removable media, such as DVD. And usually takes under an hour (depending on size of image) to fully recover to your HardDrive.

You could also create a separate partition where you can install Windows 7 while leaving Vista untouched. When booting, you'll have the option to choose which one to boot to. You can test Windows 7 out and later decide if you want to erase the Vista partition or not.

Of course a backup of a partition is always a good idea. And I too would recommend Acronis True Image.
