The Chad New Member Jun 27, 2013 #1 I have a Windows 7 Ultimate CD that I used to install on my main machine. I would like to install Windows 7 Home Basic on a laptop in my home. Can I use that CD with a key that'll buy to install Home Basic on that machine?

Have a look at this guide: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/85813-windows-7-universal-installation-disc-create.html
