how do you stop utorrent checking files on so everytime i disconnect my external HD and plug it back in again it doesnt have to check every single file again
 
Yea, you are saving all your dowloads to your External HDD, so when you plug it back in again uTorrent has to make sure nothing has happened to the files.

If you have enough space on your internal Hard drive then try downloading to there if not, then you will have to leave your External HDD in for the duration of the download :)
 
its an external HD im saving all the files to and sometimes i just disconnect utorrent without shuting it down, i want to know is there anyway you can stop utorrent checking every single file again when you just pull out the external

EDIT: i bought an internal HD for my other computer to save the files there instead of having an external one but if youve read my posts before my computer doesnt recognise my HD its too big
