Uverse Problem?

I switched over to Uverse today, since it's the only connection in the building. And for some reason, I'm starting to experience pages not loading, when browsing in FF mainly, and some in Chrome. It says Server not found, then after reloading a few times, it works. But if I go to another site, while this is happening, it'll work.

Is there anything else that can be causing this? I ran a Spybot and Malwarebytes scan, both came back clean. And I'm running up-to-date Kaspersky.

Thanks.

KIS is the only one known to cause that issue, KAV shouldnt cause the server not found issue.

Did you tried changing dns servers? Like i mentioned earlier i used to have similar issue's with my isp's DNS servers until i switched to opendns, then finally to google public dns.

No, basically just write down all your current connection information, than change it to manual. Then fill everything back in as it was before except now use googles dns.

DNS settings are an area all their own, all you do is change the dns servers. Most rigs have them set to "auto", which if google dns doesnt work for you all you need to do is switch it back to "auto"
I'll try changing them then, do I want to change the TCP/IP 4 or 6?
v4 , i'd be pretty suprised if your home network even supported v6.

Is this Uverse related though? I never had this problem until I switched to Uverse and fully activated Kaspersky on Windows 7.

Thanks btw.

Edit: I just changed the settings, and it seems to be working so far. This problem happens on and off, on usually random links. But I tabbed opened a bunch of links, and they all loaded.

When set to auto, it uses your ISP's dns servers, which are usually pretty slow and poor. (I couldnt download anything from microsoft because of roadrunner's dns servers, fixed when i switched over to opendns, and then not too long ago to google public dns).

Alright, makes sense. Never had to do that with Comcast, but haven't had the problem since I changed the settings.

Thanks!
