v-card brand for 7900gt

hi im about to get a 7900gt at msy a shop in aus. the brands for the 7900gt they sell are Forsa,leadtek,gigabyte and asus
i quite like asus myself bcus it has a picture of king kong on it

either ASUS or Leadtek are fine... gigabyte is alright too

Yeah, i must say im a fan of XFX and BFG for graphics cards but you didnt menshion them so i would go for ASUS.

go with the ASUS... like i said all of them are good brands... but i never heard of Forsa, so id say dont get it

Asus and Gigabyte are the most expensive of the cards listed on their website, and aren't worth the premium IMO.

The Leadtek's better value than either the Asus or Gigabyte, but i'd just save the cash and stick with the Forsa.

If you look a little further down the video card section there's actually an Albatron Exteme 7900GT listed seperately (below the GTXs) that's $30 cheaper again. That would be my pick.

For anyone who's interested, current prices from MSY (all in AUD) are:

Albatron Extreme: $389
Forsa: $419
Leadtek: $435
Gigabyte: $475
Asus: $475

IMO = In My Opinion

I was actually listing them from cheapest to most expensive, but looking over the list, it does come pretty close to my 'best value -> worst value' list.

Frankly, I don't think that there's enough of a difference between the models to justify the price premiums.

The GPU itself (7900GT) is far more important than which brand you purchase from (they're mostly just nVidia reference boards anyway).
