You need to set the borders for certain cells. from the menu bar select format > cells... and click on the borders tab. Or you can go to the format toolbar and there is a borders option.
The in/out column it is really two columns but the date cell has been merged from two columns into one. (merge is also in the format > cells) You would also need to select all of the cells in the 'in' column and set the left border to have a visible line.. and the 'out' collumn would have a right border. left justify and italicize the 'in' column and right justify and bold the 'out' column.
