various 6600gt's

o.k in my search to replace a dead 6600gt graphics card i've run across pny,forsa,evga,gigabyte,xfx,leadtek,asus,msi,bfg,and albatron. are these all the same card with the same quality, with different companies pushing them, or is one brand better than another?

They are the same chip, but some mfg's cards have higher core/memory speeds, as well as certain "bundled" items.

Personally i would base it upon a few factors; price, brand name, whats included, and the speeds.

I have heard that XFX, BFG, eVGA are all good brands, and Maybe Leadtech I think, not sure on that.

You could also go to www.newegg.com, and look at the reviews. They can be very helpful in finding out which brands are good, and which ones arent.

I've heard that eVGA have a very good warranty and support service. I think somebody on this forum said that eVGA replaced a card that died because of OC'ing, not really standard procedure.
