Various Blue Screens

I am having problems with my pc. I booted it up today and it gets passed the windows xp logo loading screen and the blue screen comes up with "0X0000000A" so I thought I will do the usual, xp disk in and repair with the chkdsk /r etc.

However, once I insert the disk and it booys to the windows setup screen or repair, I choose the repair option and another blue screen comes up with "0X0000004E"

Anyone know where to go from here?
 
Random blue screens are usually caused by bad ram. If you have more than one stick, take one out and try using the system and switch sticks if you have to or you can run memtest86 or microsofts tool to check the memory.
