hi, i built a new computer using the following specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0ghz
Asus pn5-d (775)
Corsair 4gb ddr2 (only 1 2gb strip installed so far)
BFG 8600gt oc
Ocz 600w Gamexstream
Anyways, when first building the pc, i got the no signal error, which was fixed by clearning the bios, so i actually had a display, but after trying to use the machine for more than 2 minutes, it shuts down. I turn the pc off and reboot and get a hardware monitor voltage error, so i proceed to check the voltages coming from the power supply and i see that the vcore is low at 0.94 and leads to the machine turning off when using the hard disk etc (for example when trying to install vista). I also tried adjusting the vcore to 1.45 and 1.60 and that lead to the machine not even turning on properly, which meant reseting the bios again, any ideas why the power supply is doing this?
