It's 10,00RPM, or in layman's terms, fast as. Unless you're into hardcore gaming or something like that, or you happen to be someone who needs a lightning fast HD for his work (by the sounds of it your're not), those drives ain't worth it because of their relatively small capacity, and the fact that they cost so much for each GB of storage.

It's expensive 'cause it's very fast (3gb/s, 10.000 RPM) , and as you probably know speed costs.

i have 2 velociraptors in raid 0.... meh... it's okay. i'm gonna do 5 or 6 in raid 0 soon on an areca card.
