I was wondering What is the maximum GHz an AMD Athlon Venice 3000+ could overclock to. I have heard that overclocking 2.8 GHz is a breeze but what about 3 GHz

I don;t know if i would call it a breeze but it can be done up to 2.8 I have never heard of 3.0 though. Most 3000+ end up overclocked to 2.5-2.6 area. good luck overclocking and don't forget to check your temps.

Hmmm

I have a Venice 3000+ and I have managed to get it to 2.6Ghz without any problems. As far as I know, most Venices max out at around 2.7-2.8Ghz. I will leave mine as it is because there is no need for me to push it to its limit.

no one can tell you this every slab of silicon is defferent, and somr oc better than others, i think this is covered in oc101
