well right now i am just wondering, how to figure out if my graphics card is broken. can anyone tell me how to tell if my graphics card is broken or do i hav to take it to the store to get it checked?

Letting us know the symptoms would help.

If you have another computer handy, you could try the graphics card in the other machine and seeing if it has similar problems.

the easiest way to check and see if your graphics card is the problem is to swap it with another (in the same slot) and see if that one works. If so, your card is most likely the problem. If not, then that opens a whole new realm of possibilities.
