for some reason when i try to open a video file it takes like 3,4,5 mins before it will open.

I don't know if it has anything to do with the fact that my hardrive is full because this started happending when my hardrive got full.

Does anybody know what is going on? Below is a picture you guys can take a look, maybe you will find the reason.

The Vertual Memory is just a part of the Hardrive right? If it is I though the laptop/computer only uses the vertual memory when there are not enough RAM.

ok the second picture did not show up eighter. so here is the third one.

Anyway if the picture does not show up again here is what it says.

Total Physical Memory 1151MB (i have one 256 and one 1 GB RAM in it)
Available Physical Memory 59% 688MB
Memory load 40%
Total Virtual Memory -1917MB
Available Virtual Memory 0% 1855MB

Your picture still isn't seen on the second post either. The mention of your drive being filled would be the primary reason to look at there. Having worked with video captures and editing for some time when you start running out of space Windows itself will start to bog down where everything runs slow. That was one reason for adding a second drive for temporary storage.

Sometimes you can get around problems like this by using a custom size for the page file or disabling the creation of one by Windows. You can make this type of change by first right clicking on the MyComputer icon on the desktop and opening the advanced tab. The top settings button will be for system perfomance there.

That will open to another three tab screen with the option to change the virtual memory with the button at the bottom. The next screen that opens will give you the options of a custom sized, system managed, or no page file set for virtual memory.
 
Yeah, virtual memory is just a file on your harddrive. You can disable it or change some settings under System Proporties...

Hows it looks under task manager? I don't know what you used to get that information, but maybe just the program's causing some sort of problem...
 
I used a program that came with the laptop, it is called the Notebook Maximizer, it give a graphic representation of the power supply, RAM, Hardrive usage.

I just got another 320GB of external harddrive for the laptop, it is external though... does it matter?

I am gona try what PC eye says, gota restart the system before knowing the results.

O ya. What are my thinking!

hmm. Guess it is fine too if i just move all the files from my primary drive to the external drive.
